I am currently sitting in my room, bags packed, while my mother is downstairs making Mexican for my final meal. This blog post undeniably will be my least thrilling entry, as I am still subject to the mundanity of everyday life. In the past week, I decided to execute a dramatic exit, by hosting a ‘going away’ event with all my friends. You’d think I was leaving indefinitely due to the grandeur of it. After making a public announcement to at least 150 of my friends and choosing an extremely well-known bar as the location, I was ready to drink my body weight in alcohol to celebrate my departure. A great tip is to host the such event on a Sunday afternoon, as you’ll be guaranteed the entire four-story venue to yourself, making the ordeal even more ostentatious.

It is unclear what the next six months of my life will entail while traveling abroad, but I am determined to make them as chaotic and spontaneous as I possibly can. For the blog of course…Upon my return, I will have no car, no savings, and no form of employment. This trip not only will provide me with rich life experiences and great adventures, but I have utilized this endeavor as a means of completely transforming my current way of life. No doubt my return will also bring many awkward encounters with the men waiting for me when I return home. Turns out that having a ‘hot girl summer’ and being unable to commit to anyone due to going abroad, may have serious consequences when I get back. For now, I will be enjoying the company of all the Fabios’ of the world a free woman.

Anyway… I will return with another entry when I am in the city of love, sipping French wine and overdosing on croissants.
